We're beginning contractions this week...can't wait to use..much better than the usual worksheets where kids match or rewrite the word as a contraction!!! They'll get to manipulate this and actually SEE the letter or letters removed to change into a contraction...Great way to integrate science too!

Intelligent By Design (TpT Seller)
Math Carts is a stand-alone executable file, which means you don't need any other programs to run it. I created the game with a utility called GameMaker. I believe there is a lite version available to download for free at http://www.yoyogames.com/gamemaker/windows.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have spent seven years teaching in a 1-3rd grade Montessori classroom.
MY TEACHING STYLE
The Montessori approach is to follow the child. My children are active and keep me active trying to keep up! They learn by doing, and my classroom is often humming with little busy-bodies bussling about. It is my goal to help them develop internal motivation, a sense of independence and responsibility, and a desire to learn more.

I have my B.S. in elementary education from Taylor University, and am working towards my M. Ed. in Instructional Design and Technology at the University of North Dakota.

I live in Maryland, outside the District of Columbia, with two shelter-rescued cats, Ricky and Lucy. I enjoy jogging, gardening, cooking, and most of all, designing instruction.
