I have been teaching for 4 years. My first year I taught 6th grade science and 8th grade science intervention. My second year I moved to elementary and spent 2 years teaching 5th grade science and language arts. This year I teach 4th grade math, science, and social studies. Next year, I'll be back in 5th grade for science and language arts. :)
I believe in hands on learning for most students. The more they are able to experience it themselves, the more likely it it they will come to understand. I set high expectations for my class when it comes to behavior. These are clearly spelled out before every lesson so students have no question as to what is expected of them.
