Hi Jaime - Just wondering if you also publish your French Immersion grade 2 materials (ex. théâtre lu - reader' theatre).

Bonjour!
No, I haven't published anything in French. Are you looking for something specific? I can pull up my French files and see what I have.

I just purchased Sneezy the Snowman because I needed a play with five parts. I don't see any lines for Red Bird. Am I crazy?

No, you're not crazy Christine88, I didn't give him any lines, yikes! I'm working on it as we speak. If you give me an e-mail address, I'll send you an updated copy. So sorry, thanks for catching that! Since you caught it, let me know what other script you'd like for free :)

I'm very interested in your many reader's theater works! They would be a great addition to our primary library time. I do have one concern, however. Have the authors of each of these books given you permission to adapt their works and sell your version?

Hi illinimccoy,

Thanks for asking about the Readers' Theater scripts I love creating. The writing and selling of teaching materials for children's books is permissible because of the "transformative" rule, per TPT. My hope is to one day be a children's author...when I can find the time :) But creating scripts has been so much fun and rewarding right now.

Hi Pam Miller (that's my mom's name, no joke!),

It's a Smart Board file, so hopefully on either your school computer(s) or personal computer you have the SmartBoard Notebook software. If not, you can go to http://smarttech.com/us/Support/Browse+Support/Download+Software

Let me know if that helps,

You are the best! Thank you so much for doing this for me. The kids and I really appreciate it. We already have some interesting questions we want to ask!!!! Can you ask your grade level partners (they can be other grades too) if they would like their kids to participate too? I have four grade level partners that would love a class to communicate with. Enjoy the rest of your leave and again, thanks so much!

First Grade doesn't matter at all! This is perfect that it is snowing there all ready. The three weeks may interfere but if you wouldn't mind me talking to your sub, I can do all the planning and get them started. BTW, I hit the flag on your response by mistake thinking that was how I replied...sorry!!!!!! Can you give me his/her contact information via my email address? My school email is cliffords@bethel.k12.ct.us. I might be ready in about a week or so. Congrats on the new baby!

Hi Sher,

The timer can be a bother sometimes :( How about deleting it and then adding it again (click on the gallery icon on the left side of your screen and then you can type "timer" into the search box)? Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll keep thinking :)

Hi, I am a 2nd grade teacher in Bethel, CT. I don't know how deep you are into the CCSS but I need to hook up with a 2nd grade class in a climate different than ours so that the kids can understand how fall activities here are different than in a place like Alaska. Would you be willing to hook our classes up and do a little correspondence?

Hi Susan,

It would be fun to hook up and correspond, but I teach 1st grade. If that doesn't matter then let me know and we'll exchange addresses. I'm currently on maternity leave, but I go back to work in 3 weeks. I'd love to be in Connecticut right now because it snowed here in Anchorage 2 nights ago!

Hi Ashley,

That's really strange that you can't see the clipart. Is it blurry by chance or just totally absent? If you give me your e-mail address I can e-mail the file to you to see if that helps.

Jaime Locke  (TpT Seller)
Hi Sheryl,

To open the file you need to have SmartBoard software installed on your computer, that's the only way to get it to open and function. So if you have the software on your personal computer (like I have it on my laptop) it should open or if you have it on a computer in your classroom (especially attached to your SmartBoard) if should open. If you give me your e-mail, I'll e-mail you a copy to see if that helps. If you don't have SmartBoard software the file won't work. But I can take screen shots and send them to you so you can see what it looks like, if that helps.

Jaime,

Thank you for responding to my question. I am looking for anything that will engage and excite my students about Sea Week. We do not have any kits or formal type of curriculum to use so I am open to any and everything. I would love to see your packet if you do not mind sharing and I am open to the art too if your colleague is open to sharing that as well.

Thank you again for your help!

Hi Dawn,

One of our 3 science kits (mandated by our district) is called Alaskan Animals. Some of the animals we study are clams, starfish and crabs...which we get specimens for and kids get to use rubber gloves and examine them. I have a packet that goes along with the kit. I don't really do many art projects in my classroom, if that's what you might be looking for. My colleague across the hall does though. So let me know if that's what you're looking for and I'll get back to you :)
