Hi Savannah! Thank you for purchasing my product! I am happy to hear it is working for you. I feel it is one the best ways to introduce students to the concept of consumer documents and why they are important to know/learn about.
Hi Matoss,
I googled for resources (articles) that my middle school students could read and respond to so that they could formulate their own opinion. I did find good articles at Scholastic and ALA Connect (http://connect.ala.org/node/78970). I just tried this link and it is still available. I also provided them with a PRO/CON chart where they listed the pros and cons of this debate.
My apologies for the inconvenience and best wishes!

sebnehrbass re: Graphic Novels: Are they WOW or POW?
Greetings! Thanks for the great resource. Do you happen to have a link, pdf, or word document for the articles that you used? That would be a helpful addition. And, if I missed it, I apologize.
Hello Sarah and thank you for purchasing my product! Unfortunately, I do not have the resources available as a link, pdf or word document. If I did I would be happy to share. I believe one resource came from Scholastic and I used their search engine to get an article which outlined both sides of the debate of graphic novels in the classroom. I believe I also Googled the topic of graphic novels in the classroom. I might have more information for you next week...perhaps I can contact you through TPT? Or e-mail you?
Thanks again Sarah!

Yes, I was thinking perhaps I inadvertently deleted it, but I went back to the original purchase to see if it was there... I don't know what happened, but my slide number 4 slide is "Answer Back." I would love you to email me the revised version. Also, one more question - I was wondering if you have an actual eessay about the wolves and Yellowstone that you took most of the examples from. (I know you might not and maybe you just made up the examples on their own...) I was thinking it might be neat for the students to see all of these examples in a "finished product," so they could see how using the techniques really does make for good writing. :)Thank you for your time. GrmrLvrFl re: Persuasive Techniques Introduction and Review
I noticed that the Persuasive Techniques Ppt does not have a slide explaining Repetition, but it is the answer to Question #10 in the quiz... Unfortunately, I noticed this as I was showing it to my class. :-/
Hello Grmlvrfl and thank you for you question. I checked my Persuasive Techniques powerpoint and slide 4 is about repetition. I am not sure why this slide did appear on your purchase. I would be happy to e-mail you my new and revised version of this powerpoint if you would like. Sorry for the inconvenience.
