12 years high school teaching experience including International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement courses. Subjects taught: World History, AP Human Geography, History and Geography of Non-Western Cultures and U.S. History
I like to use a wide variety of teaching methods that include power point presentations with skeleton outlines, reading quizzes, group activities, classroom discussions, worksheets and summative unit projects. My goal is to teach material in a way that will hit a variety of different learning styles. I also try to aid comprehension by using examples that are relative to today's high school students.
