Monica Pask  (TpT Seller) re: Gapminder: Line of Best Fit
I am looking forward to having my students do this activity! While going through the activity, I wasn't sure about where to find the info to complete the last 3 pages. The question lists the following:
- Data: accepted laissez-faire policies - monopolies in the US
- Data: child labor committees - battleships
- Data: regulating businesses - anti-trust laws and price of oil
Would you please advise where to find this data on the gapminder.org website? Thanks!

Hello Jeanette,

I purchased the Line of Best Fit activity to use with Gapminder. I'm really looking forward to using this resource with my students. However, I am confused about where to find the data for child labor committees - battleships, and accepted laissez-faire policies-monopolies in the US. Would you please advise at your earliest convenience? Thanks!

Jeanette,

I was just wondering about your website. Has it been deleted or removed. I found it very helpful and informational and now I can't find it.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 15th year teaching. I began teaching 10th grade in Pasco County, Florida. When I moved back to Michigan I moved to 8th grade and now I am teaching Algebra 1 to 9th graders. I absolutely love it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to have my students busy and engaged. Hands on, inquiry, problem based are all great. I try my best to balance application with fluency. I believe that is the key to successful math education.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am so excited to announce that I am nominated for Michigan Teacher of the year for 2013-2014. I will let you know how it goes!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I am a Michigan State Spartan! Had the best teachers in my math courses there, and although I thought about engineering for a while, Dr.. Hill influenced me to become a math teacher. :)

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love teaching and have been at it my whole life. While I have only been in the classroom for 15 years, I can remember being a young girl teaching the neighborhood kids, my stuffed animals, and even my dog, Almond, if she would sit long enough. I currently teach 120 ninth graders, my six children, and sometimes my husband.
