Pictures always help. I follow this up with a few movie selections, 5-10 minute clips, that you can pick...they can characterize a specific character. Really helps, good follow-up to this PPt. I've got a worksheet I can send you if you're interested. WIll probably add it to this package soon.

I get all of my images from Google Images, which, I believe, is still public domain, and protected, but let me know if you've heard otherwise (gulp, and hoping I'm not horribly behind the times on this one). Will be downloading much more when I can find a pocket of time to get many of them ready. The images help a ton with the slides because you can relate concepts in the PPt to images they can relate to very quickly (movies, etc.) and make that connection. I have to be careful not to let the class devolve into movie discussions too often. Thanks for following.

Roughly 45...depends on which version I downloaded to TPT. Suggest you break it up into multiple days. PPt is basically set up around intro material, five criteria of good thesis statement, then overview of a sample thesis statement analyzed for each criteria. It's big, but manageable. Hope this helps.
