The pictures are the exact pictures that Beth Newingham has on her site for the book bins. The front label on the fiction packet is a bear and goes with "books with animal characters". The packet includes a page for each of her book bins. If you like I can customize with a bin label you already have. Just let me know. Have a great day!
Very truly yours,

Second Grade Smarties  (TpT Seller) re: Back to School Bandaid Activity
Hi Jennie! I love this activity. I will definitely use it in my 2nd grade classroom. What sorts of things do you suggest for them to write on the page with the bandaid?

Hello! I am so glad you like the activity. Sorry for not getting back to you until now, but I was away on vacation! I have the children try to draw themselves in what would be an ideal setting. For instance, if they like to do things independently, I tell them to only draw themselves. If they like to work with friends, they draw them in the picture too. I have some who draw themselves listening to music while they work. I also ask them to draw themselves doing their favorite school activity. This gives a bit of insight into their learning styles early on. I hope it works great for you too! Thank you for downloading!!!
Very truly yours,
Jennie

I saw your store on the home page of Teachers Pay Teachers; so, I thought I would look at your freebie. Since you are looking for some feedback, here are a few suggestions that might help you to better market your products.

Add some clipart to add color or just color some of your font. For some reason buyers like color on the original even though they may copy your product in black and white. Also, create a cover page for each of your products which can then be used as an attractive thumbnail to entice buyers even if they are only one page. You might also add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page for the teacher. (How do? How? Etc.) List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product.

Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also number your pages. Finally, unless you want your products revised (I do for my tests) save everything in a PDF format as it is harder to change.

It is important that we see what others are doing; so, feel free to look at any or all of my freebies listed below to gather some ideas. Remember, a freebie should represent all of your products; so, take the time to make it a good one.

I hope this is the kind of advice you were looking for. The best of luck as you sell on TPT!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am new to TPT, but not new to education. I have been working in classrooms since 1993. My focus has always been Early Childhood education. I have worked in Pre-K, K, 1, and grade 2 rooms. I have spent the last eight years in first grade inclusion room (minus one move to grade two for a year).

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to keep things interesting for my students. I am a firm believer in Multiple Intellingences and try to mix things up. I keep kids moving, thinking, and always working on something beneficial. Busy work in my room is practically non-existant. Also, I just finished my first year conducting Reader's Workshop. I am a converted believer! I am struggling like everyone to balance all of the demands placed on us. It sure keeps things interesting!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Nothing official, just the joy, honor, and love of my students!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I recieved my BS in ECE from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1999 and my Masters in Literacy, Language, and Learning from Lesley University in 2005.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I just recently started a blog about Reader's Workshop. Check it out at http://readersworkshopconstructionsite.blogspot.com/
