Hello. That is a fabulous idea! I checked them using the lexile analyzer while I was creating the set and made adjustments to get them in the lexile band. However, I didn't even think to add them to the set. I will work on doing that, but honestly it will take me a few days. You have to convert the text to a plain text document in order to test the level and unfortunately I deleted the plain text versions after I was finished with a set. So, it will take some time to test all 36 again. Look for an update to the description in a week or so. Thanks!

Oh no, the best part is that you choose the order of the sets and however you want to use them in your classroom. I plan to write a blog post later this week about the different ways to incorporate them into your classroom. I have them listed as homework review, but they can be used for so many more purposes: literacy centers, independent practice of a skill, even as assessment. The options are unlimited. What would you recommend? You have so much!!! Should I look into buying a bundle of your "Roll and Answer" or your "Guide To..." PDFs to have lessons?? Just pretend you are advising a 5th grade teacher who has taught math before, but never to the common core standards. And...I obviously want anything/everything engaging for the students.

Hi Kathleen! The pages following page 80 and 81 are to be used with the summer computation and summer story problems. I divided them up by skill so you could choose which ones you wanted to have your students work on (or use them all!). The Summer Computation and Summer Story Problems pages are the directions. You can have the kids simply solve the equations (summer computation) or have them use the equation to create a story problem and then solve (summer story problems). Does this make sense? Sorry it was not very clear. I will see about revising the directions.

I am entering my fourth year teaching intermediate grades (1 in 3rd, 3 in 5th) in an urban school in Chattanooga, TN.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I love to teach using engaging, hands on activities. All of my resources are closely aligned to the state standards. I do not "teach to the test," but I do make sure that all assignments cover the standards.

I was awarded High Performing Teacher Bonus for my first year and third year teaching. I have been Level 5 (Most Effective) in Math all three years of teaching.
