I just wanted to tell you how much my 5th grade's math has improved since I began using your CCSS packs in my classroom. Everything I have purchased from you (which is almost everything you have in your store for math)has been to the point. Nothing is "over-wordy" yet all of the essential vocabulary has been incorporated into the products. This is extremely important to me because I teach in an international school where the ESL or ELL is at 96% with over 12 languages represented.
I began using your teaching material during the second quarter. Do you have an order that you teach your math objectives in? Since I use your "Daily reviews" I want to make sure I am teaching things in the order that will match yours beginning the 1st day next year!!!

Jennifer- I can't tell you how much your resources have helped me this year. My state has not fully adopted the common core yet but have expected us to teach some of the standards along side our current ones. You're resources have helped me understand the core and helped me increase my math rigor. (Performance Tasks especially) Unfortunately I am moving to 3rd next year (currently teaching 4th-my favorite so far). I will follow you in hopes you find time this summer to create all your great stuff for 3rd grade????

I love your common core assessments - it has been a fast thing for me to use for remediation for CRCT retakes. And I really look forward to using them next year. I may have found a mistake on the answer key: on standard 5.NF.1. I think question number 4 should be 1/4 - answer key has 1/8. It is 5/10 - 1/4 which is the same as 1/2 - 1/4 so answer should be 1/4? Or am I really tired and missing the forest for the trees? Thanks for putting this together. My time was well worth the money I spent!

Tried to put this in the feedback section but it wouldn't let me since I had already left a comment earlier. I had to share how much I LOVE the shamrock fraction sheet. In addition to using it the way you had intended (in centers) I have been using the record sheet with my afterschool tutoring group. Each day I give the group a fraction and have them complete the worksheet. It has helped them SO MUCH with their understanding of fractions. I am actually planning on using the sheet as a "warm up" activity with my entire class next year when doing my fraction unit. I am also thinking of using it as a pre/post assessement as well. So many possibilities!!!! I can't thank you enough!

Kim, thank you for sharing! That is a fabulous idea! I may have to use the record sheet that way as well. I am putting that same recording sheet in my Summer Math Centers with beach balls with fractions written on them. The more fraction review, the better!

I use it to draw a picture and label each type of cell and organelles on one of the inside flaps. Then on the other inside flap you could list the organelles found in each. I will update the resource this summer (or sooner if I have a second) with some suggested uses for the flippable.

Hey Jennifer. Our testing is may 7-13. I sure would buy 4th grade task cards of you created. That's how useful your products have been for me. I actually saved the weekly reviews until I had taught the majority of the skills. That way it truly was a review. We have a district pacing guide that we have to follow. We are teaching common core and our current state standards so this year has been such a transition!

The only task cards I do not have is 5NF 6- because I could not find it - if you have it available. I did see that the cards are now bundled - but I already purchased individually. I found one mistake in the Multiplying and Whole Numbers Word problems. The quiz says #2 for #4 and the answer is incorrect. It is 288 instead of 244. I would love an updated version. This is a great resource.

Hello! I have lost the editable version of this and did not number the pages so making a separate answer key at this point would be difficult. I plan to redo the entire resource and re-type the information so I can edit it and add an answer key. My plan is to do this over the summer. Thanks!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I am entering my fourth year teaching intermediate grades (1 in 3rd, 3 in 5th) in an urban school in Chattanooga, TN.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I love to teach using engaging, hands on activities. All of my resources are closely aligned to the state standards. I do not "teach to the test," but I do make sure that all assignments cover the standards.
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
I was awarded High Performing Teacher Bonus for my first year and third year teaching. I have been Level 5 (Most Effective) in Math all three years of teaching.

I received my Bachelor's degree in 2009.
