It always kills for me, too. At first, they look at me like I am bonkers, then they are asking for me to play it again by the end of class! We read that book months ago, and I still catch them sharing the video with each other on their phones and arguing about why they like it. :)

Thanks for your response. I was just worried that it would get rejected or it may be considered improper. I am basically using the same materials and this submission is giving me a headache. There really is no prompt where you answer yes; I clicked on where it says "Claim Identical" and then it asks for the syllabus number followed by a click to upload the document. Sorry to ask so many questions, but I am stressing out about this.

It sounds like you are doing it right. You just enter the number that is at the top of my syllabus then upload it. Remember to follow up with your administrator in charge of AP because they have to submit your information to the College Board also. Once you submit and are approved once, your administrator will have to go and "renew" your status each year. It's pretty easy. Hope this helps.

That is correct. As long as they know that you are planning on following someone else's syllabus, you are covered. The AP College Board website says the following:
"The College Board supports collaboration among teachers. In order to submit a syllabus identical to another teacher's syllabus you must follow the instructions on the Submitting My Syllabus page that include:
Selecting Yes when asked if you are sharing a syllabus with another teacher
Entering the syllabus number to identify which syllabus yours is identical to
Submitting your identical syllabus"

Funny story about that song: One of students from last year just sent me a facebook message with the video (which is pretty creepy, by the way) and said it is still her favorite. When I told her that is not the reaction that I expected (for them to remember the song a year later), she said other students that were in the class still had it on their song playlists, too! Good song as an intro, but be prepared to be scared. :)

So, for example, page 1 is day one's lesson plan then the next 7 pages are the handouts for that day. Page 9 is day two's plan with the next three pages being the handouts for day two, etc. If your file was not 26 pages, or if you find that any of the pages are missing, please let me know your email, and I will send it to you that way.
