I taught for a year at the high school level (English/Reading/Study Skills) and have been substitute teaching (including long-term assignments) for the past two years for elementary, middle, and high schools. I have been told that I am very creative in my approach. I believe that you will see this reflected in my assignments and assessments. I currently am in a Masters program for Literacy Education and am further developing my teaching skills. ** IF YOU BUY AN ITEM, PLEASE RATE IT AS WELL. I try to mix up my teaching styles whenever possible using Bloom's Taxonomy and Gardner's Multiple Intelligences. However, discussion and cooperative learning are two main techniques that I use.
I was on The National Dean's List all throughout college, I am a memeber of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society, and I graduated with highest honors from Lewis University.
I graduated from Lewis University in 2008 with a major in English and minors in Theology and Education. I left there with a 3.9 GPA and continue to work very hard in order to better my methodologies in teaching. I currently attend Northern Illinois University, working towards a Masters degree in Literacy Education.
