This quiz would be a good starting point for a straight multiple-choice quiz on section 1. Some of the questions need added answers to give kids 4 complete choices, instead of "all of the above" or "none of the above" or "both A and B." I also would want some of the questions to be more challenging. The format is nice, though, and can easily be modified.

This quiz provided a good starting point for me to use to create my own quiz. I rewrote several questions to make them more challenging, and on all of them, I added answers to give students a full 4 answers, instead of the easier "all of the above" or "A and B" or "none of the above" answers which I think make the quiz too easy/ less thorough. I like the format of multiple choice + quote i.d., though, and again, this quiz got me halfway to my goal - so thanks!

Helpful - only thing is that the words aren't always easy for students to decipher in only the context of the sentence, so they needed to use dictionaries.

Do you mean a copy of the soundtrack from the movie? This assignment asks students to come up with their own soundtrack for the movie, so the assingment itself doesn't come with a soundtrack. However, if you are interested in what students have done in the past, I could probably find a copy of the project they made (paper copy only though). Let me know if you are interested.

I'm sorry Rich! I didn't really realize that this Q+A was on my profile and I figured TPT would e-mail me if I received any questions! I'm sure you are already done with this unit, but there are about 20 slides in this presentation. It is very thorough and covers everything from the history to analyzing the narrative and it includes a lot of visuals as well.

MY TEACHING STYLE
I try to mix up my teaching styles whenever possible using Bloom's Taxonomy and Gardner's Multiple Intelligences. However, discussion and cooperative learning are two main techniques that I use.
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
I was on The National Dean's List all throughout college, I am a memeber of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society, and I graduated with highest honors from Lewis University.
MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
I graduated from Lewis University in 2008 with a major in English and minors in Theology and Education. I left there with a 3.9 GPA and continue to work very hard in order to better my methodologies in teaching. I currently attend Northern Illinois University, working towards a Masters degree in Literacy Education.
