I know there are a bunch of files in the zip folder but I named it "picture key". Hopefully you found it already and it helps!

I added a picture key so there is now a Word doc that shows all the meanings I teach with each picture. I hope that helps and thanks for the feedback!

Hi! I love your go fish game! I was wondering though, if you could tell me what the words were supposed to be. Because there were several that I thought repeated. Thanks!

I'm sorry you've had trouble! I re-uploaded the zip folder, so I'm hoping that might magically solve the problem. The zip folder has Word docs in it, so make sure the computers you tried to open it on have Word on them. If you continue to have problems please let me know and maybe I can email you the files? We'll figure out a solution. Keep me posted.

Hi Jessica,

Are your projects in a Word doc or powerpoint so that I can modify them
for another language? Thanks!

Hi Cristina,

The rubric is in Word and there is a template powerpoint, so you can modify it all to make it yours or put it in another language.

Hi Jessica,
I did not receive the images of the dream house? I wrote you before. Can you at least reply to me. If I do not get a response I may have to stop using this website. This is the first time I have had this problem. Is your silence implying that I have to purchase it again?

Hi,
I can re-upload the webquest later today with cover image of the dream house. I'm sorry I thought it was in there. I did not receive your first request but you will not have to pay for it again. I will send you a note when I have re-uploaded it!
Thank you,
Jessica

I am so sorry you are having problems opening the files! I added the preview picture into the file and re-uploaded a new zip file. I am using a Mac, but it's Microsoft Office, so I'm not entirely sure why you're having problems opening the files or how to solve that problem. Do you think it's a problem because they are .doc files and not .docx? I can make them .docx if you think that will solve the problem. Also, are you having trouble opening the zip folder or just individual Word files? If we can't figure this out, maybe can I email you the files?

Hi jmaresatunivision,
Were you able to download the zip folder and get the files to open? I just want to make sure things are working as they should be!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently a 5th year Spanish 2 & 3 teacher at a high school in the Bronx. I taught Spanish 1 for my first 4 years at a middle school in Baltimore. I lived in Spain for a semester in 2005 and I absolutely loved it! Teaching is a passion of mine and I am very enthusiastic. I enjoy watching students learn and grow and I love Spanish culture and the language (and even the grammar!). It is not possible to not be able to learn another language!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I think it's really important to get students talking. We do lots of choral repetition, especially with new or relatively new vocabulary. I love helping kids remember words and how to say them by relating them to things that sound naughty in English ;) I make sure to do listening, speaking, reading, and writing every day if possible. I also like to play games when they help reinforce vocabulary or grammar!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from the University of Maryland College Park in 2007. I spent a semester in Alicante, Spain in 2005 and lived in St. Petersburg, Russia for the 2007-2008 school year. I have bachelors degrees in secondary foreign language education, Spanish language, and Russian language. I am currently studying for my Masters at CUNY Graduate Center in Manhattan.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love traveling and I have been fortunate enough to have been abroad a few times and seen much of Europe and Russia. I also love camping and kayaking. I have two adorable guinea pigs and sometimes I enjoy knitting. :)
