I would prefer to have had it as a PDF or Word doc. It uploaded to Picasa, but when printed, it would cut out a part of it. I copied and pasted it to a Word doc and it worked out great.

I just bought this lesson and was excited about using it this week. I was disappointed that I could not open it in PowerPoint. I had to convert it to open it on my Word for MAC and have text but it is almost useless unless I start creating a new powerpoint by typing in all the data. I hope you can help me. It is well worth teh $6.00 but not in this format :(

Yes, of course you could put your own standards in it. If you don't have Photoshop, you could just print out the pictures so that their size is 6" x 9" and then have the students grid the picture themselves every 1.5". This would be equivalent to the large picture. Another technique would be to print the grid on transparency paper and just have the student's overlay the grid onto the picture. You could make the grid in Microsoft Word. Also, I have uploaded the lesson that has the grading rubric and also a note-taking form in it if you would like to get that also. If you only need the grading rubric I can email it to you. You can see the lesson at:

I use three PowerPoints when I teach perspective. The first one I use is the Elements of Art - Space PPT which is an introductory PPT on how artists show space in their artwork. It talks about atmospheric perspective and linear perspective. I then use the One-Point Perspective PPT and then the Two-Point perspective PPT.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
As long as I can remember I have been a creative person. Beginning early on I was always involved in arts and crafts projects at home and in school. At the age of 13 I began more formal training taking varying classes in illustration, commercial art and crafts. At the age of 16 I began on the job training in commercial art. I continued my education at California State University Long Beach receiving a Bachelors Degree in Art. After receiving my Art degree I went to work for an Advertising agency. I began as a graphic designer and worked my way up to an Art Director. After working in an advertising agency for more than 15 years I decided I wanted to do something more worthwhile. I had a teacher who really a positive role model in high school. I began volunteering in her graphic design class working with the students on projects. After volunteering for two years I decided I wanted to go back to school to get my teaching credential. After I received my , I began teaching in middle school. I have taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade Language Arts, Social Studies and Read 180. I have also taught 7th and 8th grade art. After teaching at middle school I moved on to teaching art at the high school level. I teach all levels of art including Art 1, Art 2, Art 3, Art 4, AP, Computer Graphics and Yearbook. I hope to be a good influence and inspiration to my students.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I just went through training in Explicit Direct Instruction and I really like it. I have been using the direct instruction methods plus many more. I am a fairly easy going teacher. I love my students and want them all to feel that I am interested in them. I also have a strict set of rules they must follow with a set of consequences if they misbehave. Because they are treated fairly in my room, when they get in trouble they understand that the consequences.
