TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Twenty-five years teaching Language Arts. I have taught high school, adult education, university, and am now teaching junior high and loving it. My focus and love is teaching the English curriculum to ELL students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love learning and I love watching students get those aha moments. I use a variety of techniques to engage my students in learning. Lots of movement, music but also lots of reflective time. I believe the greatest thing is when students begin asking questions. Inquiry method rocks!

B.A. in Linguistics and M.A. in English from Michigan State University. Teaching degree from California State at Los Angeles. Also studied French at the University of Paris and studied Chinese in Beijing, China.
