TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I'm a teacher by day and playwright by night, integrating reader's theater, informational text, common core... and most fun of all.... RHYME! I wrote all these rhyming reader's theater adaptations when I could see that kids wanted to listen to iPods and not me. They know lyrics by heart, but reading the classics was not happening. These rhyming scripts solved the problem! Cooperative learning, everyone gets a part, and the most animated group performs. It made teaching fun again. I hope it works for your class as well!
