I did this science project with my first graders. It demonstrated the scientific progress and the importance of keeping the variables the same by timing the experiment and holding the pendulum the same.

regular school type modeling clay. It can't get too wet though. Need to dry well between takes. I had a bunch of about 1" - 1 1/2" Meatball size clay balls to work from. It needs to be sort of "john boat" shaped, not canoe (that's my inner red neck coming out) the bottom get thin and the edges can't break. Once the kids got good at making them, the could hold quite a few marbles. No playdough. keep trying- good luck

I have a couple of suggestions that might help you to better market this product. Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also number your pages.
I would also like some feedback; so, if you have time, I'd appreciate your input on one of my freebies listed below. I know you teach primary, but I think input is important from a variety of teachers.

I love teaching Kindergarten!! I have taught as a Title 1 teacher K-5, Learning Disabilities teacher K-5, 2nd grade teacher, but mostly a Kindergarten teacher (17 years) Yay!
MY TEACHING STYLE
I love hands-on, minds-on teaching and learning. I can't seem to take a manual and not "modify it" to make it work for my students and me. My class sits at tables "family style" we learn together. I love using the Core Knowledge Curriculum. If you are not reading and writing about good stuff like science, history and the arts- why read?
