I had to do a lesson on this book without having read it. This was extremely helpful being that the book is so hard to get because it was written in 1909. Great activities for before, during, and after reading. Highly recommended!

I've used this plan with 10 year old students near the beginning of the year as part of a fantasy genre study. The group of students were in a guided reading group with average reading abilities.

I would be glad to send you the pdf file of the bookmark which is a Thinknote of the 4 question types & a place for the students to write their questions. I was looking at the free preview for Alice in Wonderland. You made a statement about looking at Lewis Carroll's name in a mirror image and asking students if they noticed anything unusual. I tried it at home and didn't see anything. Am I missing something? I'm intrigued.

Hopefully the students would notice that the name is in mirror image without you pointing it out to them. I wanted students to notice this & then extrapolate that he was a playful man & loved games. I remember reading both novels "Alice" & "Through the Looking Glass" & being told that they were political satires. After researching the author I now question if that was the author's intention.
