TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I been teaching for nine years. During that time period I have taught Advanced Placement American Government in an International Baccalaureate program to 10th graders. In addition have also primarily taught time Advanced Placement American History and Dual Enrollment American History. Currently I also teach teach U.S. History honors to 11th graders.
MY TEACHING STYLE
Since I teach courses that are content heavy the courses I predominantly use a lecture teaching style. These courses also require higher thinking skills so I often break up the monotony of lectures with class discussions.
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
I received my National Board Ceritifcation in 2008. My students do very well on their AP exams. MY PIB AP Government students have a success rate on the AP exam around 75%. My APUSH students success rate hovers around 50-60%.
MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
I have a BA in political science from the University of North Florida and a MA in American History from the University of North Florida.

I am married and have two boys.
