I haven't left school since preschool. After graduating high school, I went to college & became a high school AVID tutor. Senior year of college I became a substitute & taught all grades, K-12. Upon graduating I received a 4th grade position, which I kept for three years. Then, I moved to Moscow, Russia & taught 2nd for two years. Before arriving back in California, I landed a job at a charter school. Now I'm in my fifth year teaching fifth at Inland Leaders Charter School. I'm administrative designee, lead teacher, activities director, & tech. coordinator of our successful (896 API) school.
The Joy of Learning. I make class fun, winning over the attitude of my students with games, laughter, etc. Yet, my expectations are high, matching the rigor expected at our school. Students enjoy coming to class, and leave with great memories & increased academic abilities.
