I try to entice my students into reading Wuthering Heights by telling them it is the most demented of all love stories--a tale of demented, possessive passion. The students will never encounter another pair like Catherine and Heathcliff! Enjoy!

Thank you for sharing. The information on the Bronte family is far more thorough than I would share with my students & the style of the slides & graphics, etc. are a little dated, but the information is interesting & accurate.

Thank you for buying my product. I'm not sure what you mean by "dated." If you are referring to the movie slides, I have seen all the WH movies, but I selected one of my favorite depictions. In all honesty, you can't beat Timothy Dalton as Heathcliff, and that movie is very dated! I feel that one must have a deep understanding of the Bronte family in order to glean the genius of their novels. How Emily could creat such a demented work of art is beyond speculation! Please enjoy and thanks again for your honesty.

I find it is a rather interesting comment. In fact, I've never had anyone mention this before. This is just a great comprehensive listing of projects. Had I given complete instructions for each project, it would have been quite a document and cost much more. The kids have wonderful ideas about how to do these projects, and I have actually had each project done over the 25 years. Please distribute to your students and let them decide how to approach each project. This allows for critical thinking skills. I do hope you enjoy and thank you for purchasing my product.

I was always amazed at my students' performances. I kept one of those huge plastic "bins" in my room full of costumes. I would shop Walmart at Halloween and pick up the long, flowing capes/robes, plastic daggers/swords, fake blood, jewelry, crowns, etc. and those went into the prop bin. The kids had a ball with MACBETH and HAMLET and dressing up and acting. Enjoy!

Judy, I downloaded your freebie and think that overall it is a quality product. You might consider leaving a space between each word. I teach on the college level, and must consider those of my students with special needs, especially dyslexia. Too much on a page without spaces is just overwhelming. Personally, reading your document was difficult. Just an idea from fellow TPT seller.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have 25 years experience - 14 in the classroom and 11 as a coordinator. I currently serve as a curriculum specialist. I taught 9th, 10th and 12th with 10 years AP Literature experience. Prior to education I worked 10 years for the government.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I still have a passion for the classroom and hope to help other teachers. I love an active, risk-taking classroom! I also enjoy creating the atmosphere where students feel free to take a risk--from acting Shakespearean parts to singing a funeral dirge for Frankenstein's creature--even dancing to Kate Bush's song "Wuthering Heights." Yes, we must tackle AP prompts and AP multiple-choice excercises and MLA formal essays--but we also fill the room with energy!
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
I was blessed to be named the Marva Collins Teacher of the Year for the Aledo ISD in May 2009. I received $10,000 as a grant. I have also been named most influential teacher by some of the top ten percent graduating seniors. These are tangible accolades, but the "honors" that mean the most are those students who return to thank you for your help.

My daughter and her husband live in Los Angeles, and she has a master's degree in Art History from the University of London.
