I'm Julie Webb, a Teacher Consultant for the Area 3 Writing Project, part of the National Writing Project. I have 14 years of experience as a primary classroom teacher and K-6 Reading Specialist with a passion for literacy instruction. Along with my rewarding work with students, I enjoy literacy coaching and delivering professional development experiences for literacy educators.
I strive to establish a safe, organized environment to help students develop self-regulation and build confidence through successful learning experiences. I enjoy teaching through reading and writing workshops and providing targeted interventions to accelerate student achievement.
I am most proud of my National Board Certification Early and Middle Childhood Literacy: Reading/Language Arts and encourage everyone to pursue their certification. I received the Outstanding Bilingual Credential Candidate Award from University of the Pacific as well as Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. I am also the recipient of numerous educational grants.
I received my BA in Liberal Studies from University of the Pacific and my MA in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Professional Development from Sacramento State University. I hold a California Clear Reading Certificate and a Bilingual Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development Certificate in Spanish.
