I obtained an undergraduate degree in Communications/ Public Relations that focused on print media including Graphics Design, Marketing and Advertising in 1994. I also hold a Master of Education Degree awarded in 1997.

I taught children long before ever going to college or obtaining any degrees. It was a natural fit for me to become a teacher even though the path was a bit twisted and took a while longer than I expected. I have been in the classroom since 1997 as a professional. Most of those years were spent in the gem - 2nd grade. If you've ever taught 2nd grade you know what I'm talking about. I've worked with learners that were the lowest of the low all the way to the highest of the high...and all in between. Teaching is my love - second only to my dear, sweet and supportive husband along with our two sons and baby girl (soon to arrive). During the summer months our family enjoys sailing he Great Lakes on our 34 foot sailboat. We also love to travel all over the place - often times in our mini van. We hope to add many more stamps to our passports in the coming years.
