This is a fantastic idea, but very far from what I expected based on the description. The powerpoint includes 10 slides and has very little variety in a subject matter that could include dozens of songs. It only includes 2 songs that are post WWI (both are in the preview). I expected so much from the mid to late 20th century.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching in the public schools for eight years. Prior to that I taught ESL for one year at the university level. During my public school years I taught 8th grade language arts for two years, and for the remaining six I have taught 6th grade Gifted and Talented Humanities. In addition, I have worked as a curriculum writer for the district-wide Science and Technology Gifted and Talented program for three consecutive years.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I view teaching as a process of guiding independent discovery. Students of the information age are less in need of strict facts than they are in need of skills to gather information, organize it, makes sense of it, and synthesize new information from what they have learned.
