It was meant to be a simple assignment to get kids to understand the elements of Native American myths, and give them practice (I use it either before or after teaching "The Sky Tree" and "Coyote Finishes His Work" to my sophomores in the beginning of the year. It is an easy assignment to give, and I always grade them by their presentations. It makes them feel empowered because it's simple and straightforward. The kids really get a great understanding of the concept, and I enjoy seeing their creativity. Plus, I didn't charge much for this assignment. I'm sorry that you aren't satisfied, but I would be interested in seeing what your kids come up with. I'm sure they won't disappoint, and you might find they got more from the assignment than what you think.

Thanks for the feedback; I did not intend to mislead you. The lesson is simple, but it really helps reinforce the elements of a myth, and my sophomores really like it. I enjoy listening to their creativity. I hope even though it's only one page that you find it useful. Sometimes, all it takes is something simple to get the point across. I think it's the only thing posted for a cost, as of now that I have that is only one page, but I will update the description, as I plan on adding new things. Thanks for taking the time to send your thoughts; I'm stil fairly new at this site.

I have worked full time in an inner city school district for 5 years. Before that I worked as a tutor at the local juvenile detention center for a couple of years. At the beginning of my career I subbed as a long term sub for about 3 years, teaching 6th grade and up.
