I have instructed at two very different high schools. I spent one year at South Brunswick High School where I taught 9th Grade Government and Economics and 10th Grade United States History II. While at my current teaching position I teach a majority of urban youth from all high school grade levels. I teach United States History I to 9th graders and repeaters, 11/12th Grade Civics and Economics and Behavioral Studies.
I enjoy finding opportunities to utilize Gardner's multiple intelligences in my instruction. I also utilize differentiated instruction, cooperative learning, reading guides, and literature to reinforce content from my classroom.
Phi Alpha Theta, National History Honors Society during undergrad. Awarded the 2010 Teachers Who Rock award from two local radio stations after a fellow staff member nominated me for the aware.
History Education degree from the University of Delaware; Currently pursuing graduate work at Monmouth University as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant.
I have developed the Cheerleading Program at my current school, where I have been head cheerleading coach for the last five years. Not only this but I developed a test prep seminar that is given to students three times a month, as well as a Freshman Bootcamp program that all enrolled Freshman must take for 3 weeks in the summer.
