I love how practical and concrete this information is. I have worked with students who don't know these very basic "rules" in a public restroom and have gotten themselves in a little bit of hot water. this will be great to review with boys during my health/sexual health unit. Great product and very necessary!

Your store activities are by far my favorite things in your store. I think I have purchased everyone of them (or if not, I will shortly). They are thorough and comprehensive and keep students occupied the entire time. If you ever create more, you have a willing buyer right here.

I have used the circle curriculum before, but had to leave it behind in my old school district. Can't afford to get the kit but it never occured to me to recreate it, so this is a WONDERFUL resource. Yes, it isn't every piece, but it's a great start and I can build on it. Thank you so much!

Those topics are exactly what I was thinking of....babysitting do's and don'ts, entertaining children with toys, books, etc, safety do's and don'ts, what to do in an emergency and maybe even feeding children safe/appropriate snacks. I do not, sorry. But, I could try to work on something. What are you thinking? Maybe something on the lines of babysitting (loosely with my kids) little brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. Hi, the conference I recently went to was called Interactive Discipline. The speaker Rick Morris was a lower grade teacher for 31 years in the San Diego area. I loved his approaches. He used a lot of music as prompts for the kids. His web site is Newmanagement.com. We have tons of workshops we can go to through my district fortunately. I also try to attend any autism conferences I can find semi-locally each year. Workability conferences are wonderful if you can find one through your state. I have been to two by this company (http://summiteducation.reachlocal.com/) The last one was on Autism, Asperger's, SPD & ADHD. Hope this helps. Karen

Just FYI - There has been a lot of discussion in the forum about using other terms such as "The Big Game" since Super Bowl is a trademarked term. I know I've violated trademarks and copyrights before accidentally and it's nice to have a seller explain it to me rather than have the product removed by TPT (which is rare but it happens).

I really like your food pyramid graphing activity! I am a Family & Consumer Science teacher and you may not be aware of this but the food guide pyramid was actually updated last summer and replaced by "MyPlate". I was wondering if it is possible for you to do the same activity but use the MyPlate graphic is the background instead. Just google the MyPlate image or go to www.choosemyplate.gov. Thanks. Thank you for the suggestion! I am new here and have been trying to post some of my older things I have been using. Actually I had no idea about "myplate". I will work on something. Most of my special ed kids are very low and it will be a little more confusing, but let me see if I can simplify it. Karen Update: I posted a new one on the food plate. "My plate cut and paste". I will still work on a graphing one, since servings and ounces are a little different, I will have to brainstorm a minute, lol. Thanks for the suggestions!

I saw your store on the home page of Teachers Pay Teachers; so, I thought I would look at your freebie. I left you a rating. Well done! Since you are new, here are a few suggestions that might help you to better market your products.
Create a cover page for each of your products which can then be used as an attractive thumbnail to entice buyers. You might also add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page for the teacher. (How do use the map? Is this a center activity? Etc.) List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product.
Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also number your pages. Finally, unless you want your Word products revised (I do for my tests) save everything in a PDF format as it is harder to change.
