I have been teaching for 12 years in public education! I have worked as a Math intervention teacher for intermediate grades, a Kindergarten classroom teacher, and now a 5th grade teacher. As a child I always wanted to be a teacher! A special gift that my parents gave me when I started teaching was a framed piece of work that I had done in Kindergarten, on which my teacher wrote "When I grow up I want to be..." and after that was written "teacher" with a picture I had drawn of me as the teacher. Even in Kindergarten I knew what I was meant to do! :)
I just love when my kids and I are having fun together while learning. We sing, dance, and laugh every day. It makes learning so much more exciting! The most important thing in my mind is for the kids to go home with a smile on their face.
My best honor yet? Being a mom to my 2 little munchkins! :)
I have my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education, as well as a Master's Degree in Childhood Education.
I live with my husband and our two children. We love to travel and do anything outdoors!
