This is my 11th year of teaching! I love what I do every day!! I have taught kindergarten (both half-day and full-day), first, and second grade. Prior to that, I taught pre-school learners. I currently teach full-day kindergarten in Prince William County Schools, Virginia.
I love to incorporate hands-on learning opportunities throughout the school day! Students in my room are engaged in literacy and math work stations, singing and moving to learning songs, and being active learners.
Selected as local Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year in 2006.
I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. I received my Master's Degree in teaching from the IET (Initiatives in Educational Transformation) program at George Mason University.
I LOVE "meeting" other teachers through my teaching blog (http://MrsStamp.blogspot.com) and Pinterest (http://pinterest.com/karenstamp). I also enjoy creating and maintaining our classroom website (http://www.MrsStamp.com)... I hope you'll visit us in cyberspace!!
