Karen, I love your communication binder and my kindergarten group is planning to implement it or something very similar for the upcoming school year. Our school mascot is the HAWK. I just got done printing out your book tub labels, and they worked beautifully! However, when I started printing out the book labels, the first four in the column were great but the last six were off. I made sure to use the Avery 5160. I'm also using a Mac (don't know if that matters). Any tips for me?

Hi I just purchased the Holidays around the world and am somewhat confused. I thought Kwanzaa was an African tradition, but in the packet it says USA. It is a PDF so I can not modify it, can you please help me.

Thanks for your note!! Here's a suggestion for you: outline the section that the child is to color, then they just need to color it in. Once all the pages are outlined, the child can go back to their seat to fill it in, while you are assessing the next child! Hope this helps!! Karen :o)

I love your Data Notebook! It looks wonderful! I am actually in the middle of creating one myself because my system is going to implement them this year. I think you may have just saved me a lot of trouble! (If only I had found this sooner!) Does this packet include anything for students to monitor/track their behavior and/or attendance? Also, are you planning any kind of sale anytime soon? TEACHING EXPERIENCE
This is my 11th year of teaching! I love what I do every day!! I have taught kindergarten (both half-day and full-day), first, and second grade. Prior to that, I taught pre-school learners. I currently teach full-day kindergarten in Prince William County Schools, Virginia.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I love to incorporate hands-on learning opportunities throughout the school day! Students in my room are engaged in literacy and math work stations, singing and moving to learning songs, and being active learners.

Selected as local Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year in 2006.
