Karen: I have taught High School Spanish for 3 1/2 years in New York State public schools, 5 months of High School English Language Arts in Tennessee. And one year of Spanish from Pre-K through 8th grade in a private school (2011-2012). The one thing that has been consistent in my life is my volunteer work with the Pathfinders Club. For the past 14 years, I have worked with kids, staff (teen & adult) teaching them arts and crafts, home skills, survival skill, Biblical principals and so much more. My greatest joy is to now work with one of my students side by side and be able to see first hand how my time, patience and love has impacted her life. Rodny, my husband, has taught all subject matters (also volunteer) from arts and craft to survival skills from kindergarten to 12th grade for 25 years. Between the two of us we have been teaching for over 35 years and loving it!
My lesson plans are very visual (using technology) and hands-on.
Karen earned a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and English a Master's Degree in the Art of Teacher and Rodny earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics.
The majority of my teaching experience has been volunteer work and I continue to volunteer my time because it is so gratifying. The website for my Spanish materials: http://www.spanishprep.com The website for my English materials: http://karenlovinglanguagearts.blogspot.com
