Suzanne Kienzle  (TpT Seller) re: Economics for the Primary Classroom
I just downloaded this and while I like most of the activities, some I am a little confused as to how they work. (No directions?) How do you play the lemonade and hot chocolate game? Or the flier activity, what do you do with all the cards that say I want to be a doctor?
Have you ever considered going back and adding lesson plans for some of these?

TaraHolaska re: Suburban, Urban, and Rural for the Primary Classroom
Hi Katee,
I really like your work and have purchased two items so far. I've noticed some errors in both and am hoping that you will be willing to fix them since the documents are not editable (word?). Anyway, on the rural acrostic, I'm confused when you say "Really small area"-aren't rural areas large with small populations? Also, in your glyph you use "have you rode" several times, but I think it should be "have you ridden". Thanks so much for your attention to these minor corrections!

ktarello re: Subject and Predicates: An Introduction
Hello! I like this packet a lot, but I found several mistakes in the anchor chart posters. The examples for "Compound Subject" and "Compound Predicate" are reversed. Also, the subject poster says "always contains a noun." It could also be a pronoun. The predicate poster says "Sometimes the predicate may 'is'" - there is a word missing. Also, I think the statement that the predicate "usually" contains an action word or verb is confusing - a predicate always has a verb, just not always and action verb.

If you are able to make corrections please let me know. I would love to print out the posters!

Thank you,
Kathy

The Literacy Garden  (TpT Seller) re: Tall Tales Literature Study
I just purchased your unit on Tall Tales. You have many great ideas. Before I leave feedback, I wanted to let you know of a typo on the examples of hyperbole worksheet. You have "Faster than the SEED of light instead of SPEED of light. I would appreciate it if you could let me know when you have uploaded a corrected version.
Thanks so much!

I am so sorry, but I can't fix this! My computer crashed and I recently had to get a new one. I lost all the files that I had created from last school year. This was one of them. I do apologize but all I have is the PDF. As you know I can't edit a PDF. I am sorry. I wish I had caught that mistake sooner.

I love these posters. I'm trying to put 4 on a page to hand out to students. Unfortunately, when i do this, the borders get cut off. Is it possible that something is wrong with the file? Can you try doing it on your end to see if you get the same result? Please let me know if it's something on my end. I may try it at school and see if that helps.

Erin Mudie re: Masters of Multiplication
Neat idea. Are they trying to earn a sundae by memorizing their times tables? Is there a time limit (e.g., by a certain month and date)? The more they acurately memorize the more they have on their sundae and the more interesting it becomes? I like this idea--kids are certainly motivated by their stomachs! If I didn't understand this correctly, please clarify. Thanks.

No you are correct! I taught 2nd grade this past year so we didn't fool with all the times tables, but you can easily adapt it to include the 7s, 8s, and 12s! We also do something similar for Addition/Subtraction facts in the fall where they build a Gingerbread man. I'll try to post that because it was a huge hit!

For your Math Word Wall for 2nd and 3rd Grade, I noticed there are some cards without a definition or picture--was that on purpose? Also, I was wondering if you would be willing to make a card for Metre(1M =100cm) and Metre Stick for me? Thanks. I'd pay you a bit extra. I just want it to match the cards in the set. Erin

Oh yes! I use them on my projector to start out with. Use a dice. If you roll a 6 you do whatever task is listed in box 6. If you roll a 4 do whatever it is box 4, etc. I always do it whole group as a math stretch, but then I move those types of activities to my math buckets! :) The kids love it and they take turns with the tasks. Some will even keep score and use tallies for each correct response! :) They are also great to use before a test whole group. Let me know if this has helped!

It's a great game! I would start whole group. Print/laminate/cut the cards apart. Place them in a container that is open on top. I use old Kleenex boxes or frosting containers. The way I play whole group is to have the kids sit in a circle. I play music and the kids pass the cup around. If I pause the music whoever is holding the cup has to pull out a card and correctly answer the questions. I just use tally marks to keep score. If a Kaboom card is pulled out then it erases all points that team has earned. Usually our teams are boys vs. girls just to keep it simple. Once they have the hang of that you can always put it in a partner center. Hope this helps! :)
