Hi there!

I am a new teacher...and new to the blog-world. I LOVE to read your blog and think I've clicked around to most of your postings. But, I would love to read all the new happenings. I just can't find a "home" button, or know how to see if there are any posts past the school supplies emergent reader post. (That is the newest one I can find). I also didn't know how to find you via your blog (if it is even possible). So, sorry for contacting you on TPT...I just didn't know how else to go about it.

Thanks!
Shannon

Hi,
Your blog is unbeeeeleeevable! I was so excited to find you. I have been looking for a great math and science interactive journal for a long time. I have downloaded everything that you have made available, but I would love to have a complete lesson plan with blackline masters for these journals. Would you consider making it for TPT?

Hi Kathryn,

I am an elementary science teacher and have been regularly checking out your science activities on your blog. I have been having difficulty downloading your activities. (When I click on them, I'm directed to a blank typepad.com page.) Is there another way to get these activities from your blog? I don't see them in your TPT store. Thanks so much!

Hi Michelle...
The files are Adobe PDF's, so make sure you have the latest version of Acrobat Adobe installed. Also--I've heard that people have better luck with browsers other than Internet Explorer. You might try Chrome or Firefox. Also--check your computer's security settings. Good luck!

Kathryn,
I follow your blog by email so don't know how to comment as others do. Your blog is my favorite out of the all the ones I follow. My question is about your reading workshop post. Do you think it can work with a class of 30? I am switching to all day this year and more kids and I am struggling with how to rework everything. I read Miller's book you suggested and Daily 5 but really need practical, nitty grity advice. Will you blogging soon about how you run yours?
Thanks so much,

Hi Kathryn -

I love your website and love the freebie. I just purchased the school tools and was printing it out. Most of the pages print wonderfully but I notice the practice pages, pocket chart words, and the glue poster do not print correctly. The left side of the page does not not print. Is there something I can do to fix this? Again I love the product - just a little OCD hahaha! ~ Nancy

Hi Nancy! I'm sorry you're having this problem. I printed off a few of the pages you mentioned, and am not having that same problem. (I'm completely OCD, too, so I can see how that would bother you). When the print dialog box pops up, make sure you leave the scaling on "Shrink to printable area". If not, e-mail me, and we'll try something else. Thanks!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching primary grades (PK-2nd) for 10 years in Texas and California.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I LOVE being a teacher! I believe very much in a student-centered learning environment that allows children to construct their own knowledge by asking questions, making predictions, partcipating in hands-on, engaging investigations, and thinking, talking and writing about everything they learn!
