This was great!
I used these a day I was relieving (substituting). The students had alot of fun with them!
However, I had to change inches to cms etc as in NZ we use different measurements

If so, that would put the order, just based on this sentence, as Flag Waving Wanda, Snowman Sam and Hat Wearing Harry.
Was this confusing to your students? If so, please let me know and if you have any suggestions as to how it might be altered. I always teach my students that after they have gotten the answer ~ re-read the clues to double check themselves.

Most continents are surrounded by a gently submerged sloping plain called the Continental Shelf. This is the “beach” on which people swim and play! The width of these vary from 0 to 930 miles! If Miss Frizzle took her students out to the 300 mile mark, how much farther would they have to travel to reach 930 miles?
14. Scallops, mussels, snails and crabs come from
this part of the ocean. Suppose Arnold went
to a seafood restaurant and ordered mussels
for $5.75, snails for $10 and crabs for $15.
If he gave the waiter $100, how much
change would he receive?
