Good actiivty for ser practice in the el/ella form. I do not know who some of the people are (Snookie?); call me old fashioned. The students were not interested in some of the people. I find they like talking about people they choose. I will change the format of this activity from a conversation to a report or a guessing game.

My students had mixed reactions to these. But overall I thought the students really benefited. Some were overwhelmed to see all the Spanish and couldn't get past that. I think I will break it down into smaller sections next time.

I like the activity but if I'd realized it was just one activity I would probably have written one myself. Ms. Maurer noted that there was a preview. She is completely correct, I should have paid more attention to the description. I do want to stress that I did use the activity and it was effective. I use Ms. Maurer's materials often because they are practical, quick and provide good review.

Thank you for sharing your "freebie" of book reports . It looks very nice and I would like to use it with my Spanish Immersion class. Could you check on the spelling of "artículo"? I think it might be missing the accented "i" which is easy to fix with a pen when printed, but if it's missing I thought you might like to add it. ¡Buena suerte!

Jennifer: What kind of details are you looking for? I gave each student a lunchbag with a variety of jolly ranchers in them and also put them in pairs. It seemed to go very well with my level 1 students in practicing writing sentences with mas que menos que mas de and menos de. It's just a more interactive way to get them to practice making comparisons. If you let me know what kind of details you are looking for I can help you out. Thanks for shopping!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I'm a second career teacher whom has finally found my passion. I've created many of my own materials to help my students excel in the classroom as I teach in a top rated school near Cincinnati Ohio.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I don't have one style. I use some TPR, guided notes, cooperative learning activities. I also teach to all of the domains of foreign language: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
In my previous career as a Journalist I received many writing awards and also received a study abroad scholarship to study Spanish.
MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Spanish from Central Michigan University. I've studied Spanish at the University of Concepcion in Chile and received my teaching license through the University of Dayton which is where I will pursue my Master's in Education. I've been a long term substitute teacher at 2 different school districts prior to student teaching.
