TEACHING EXPERIENCE

During my masters program I taught several 10th and 12th grade English classes at the standard and honors level. I then went on to teach 8th grade Language Arts for a brief period before becoming a private tutor. As a tutor I work with high school students in English and SAT prep.

I always try to use my students' strengths, interests, and motivations to help them tackle their weaknesses.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

In 2010 I earned a B.A. in English language and literature from Longwood University in 2010, graduating with cum laude honors. I then went on to pursue a Masters degree in Teaching with a concentration in secondary English in 2011, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Through this degree I gained my teaching license in English (9th-12th grade) and Language Arts (6th-8th grade).
