Wish I could give an A+++++ for Creativity! I used your Conduction and Convection Coloring sheets this year with my sixth-graders, and so was very excited to see you'd added the Radiation coloring sheet as well! Can't wait to add this to my curriculum next year. These are perfect for our interactive science notebooks and the kids just love them as they learn about the content. Did you draw all this yourself? If so, WOW! Thanks again for such great products!

Thanks for your kind words! I also teach mostly 6th grade science, and my kids like the coloring sheets, too! I have enjoyed drawing all my life and really like creating the drawings by hand. I also use Photoshop to digitize the drawings and Adobe Illustrator to add some of the geometric shapes (like the convection cycle arrows) and the text (so I can edit it again and again...I draw better than I write!) I appreciate your taking the time to say nice things!

Glad to hear that! My students like this one, too, especially since I added the "paste the piece here" page for kids who are struggling. Whenever I do this activity, I end up sweeping up tons of Juan de Fuca plates! (I make extras)

Worked great! Students were given blue and red markers and color coded the convection currents together in class. It really helped students understand convection and how it relates to more than science class.

I always start my unit on plate tectonics with this activity! Through the years, I've been able to work out accommodations for my super speedy students as well as for those who struggle with the cutting and pasting parts of this activity. This really helped to connect that visual aspect to my lesson.. I especially liked how you reinforced the movement of hot and cold particles with repitition of coloring blue and red in each picture. My students really enjoyed this, it was the perfect size to fit into our interactive Science journals.

Great resource--really helped my sixth-graders understand convection because of the many examples shown on the coloring sheet. (It's funny how older students still love to color!) I also used your free Conduction coloring sheet. (Now if you would offer one on Radiation, I'd be even happier....:)

I've been a middle school science teacher for over 20 years. I have taught all levels of science including a marine science class. I'm also a fluent Spanish speaker and occasionally teach Spanish 1, and in the past, I've taught earth, physical, and life science in Spanish as a bilingual educator. I'm our school's lead teacher for the Ocean Guardians School program. I also enjoy my work as an illustrator and artist. I'm currently working on illustrating a book.

I love learning new things and helping kids to learn new things, especially in the realm of science. I have a huge interest in the environment and hope that my students will carry with them a strong sense of stewardship for our planet. I spend a lot of time outdoors, researching and finding out new things about what I teach, and volunteer for a local organization dedicated to the wellness of the oceans. I aspire to be a scientific illustrator when I retire from teaching.
