If you click on the button in the unit to launch the printables, it should open them in PDF format which is printable. If you want to print from the Notebook Express viewer you have to print from the internet toolbar, as the viewer doesn't seem to have a print button... odd.

P-stands for demonstrating understanding in a physical form, such as using manipulatives,
W- stands for written demonstration of understanding.
PT- stands for demonstrating understanding through pictures or drawings.
O- stands for oral demonstration of understanding, such as through conferencing or whole group discussions.
Hope this helps! I use this format because it aligns with differentiating instruction, and with multiple intelligences.

Hello Kimberley!! I just purchased your fiction non-fiction unit and i'm excited to use it. However, I'm having major complications in opening the document. I downloaded the zip software in order to open the unit. I saved and opened it but then a message popped up from adobe saying that it was not supported by the adobe software and that the doc. might be damaged. I'm a bit frustrated at this point. If you could provide any assistance that would be great:)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught Kindergarten, grade one, grade two, grade three, grade four, grade five and grade six. I have my Reading Specialist and have done projects with the Ministy of Education and University of Toronto. But, by far my favourite is a grade one/two split grade class. This is my fourth year as a grade one/two teacher. The best part of teaching little ones is that I get to watch them turn into readers and writers right before my eyes. Magic!
