Marie Spear  (TpT Seller) re: Camp Read a Lot (Classroom Campout Fun!)
Hi Kimberly! I love this idea!!! I know my students would love it just as much. I teach 3rd grade... so at this point my students are almost fourth graders. I would love to do this for our last few weeks of school. I am wondering if you feel that activities included in the pack are challenging enough for end of the year third graders. Please let me know asap.

Just thought of another question before I purchase your math journal prompts. Do they fit on an Avery label of any kind? Let me know. Thanks, Sheryl Spears

tcoffin re: Monster Math Common Core Review
Hi! I really like your Common Core Math review using Monsters. Just wondering if you have any other CC monster inspired packs or the "I can" student objectives. If not, do you plan on making any or know anyone that may have any. I have seen these packets for Kinder, 2nd, and 3rd but not 1st grade. Thank you!

Hello! I love your ideas for the Mother's Day Book, however I cannot reproduce the pages in color for my children. Could you please consider removing the clip art on the pages for easier copying? Thank you! :)

Hi!
Is there any way I could get a few extra schedule words that fit my classroom? I love the font, and have about 2 or 3 things that were not included. Thanks!

I work in a district that was hit by a tornado on Thursday, so I won't be able to fulfill this request right now. I apologize for any inconvenience.

maisha re: Fall Math Journal Prompts
I really like the journal prompts. I purchased all of your journal prompts. My question is: Why so you use such "fancy" font? I try so hard to teach my students proper letter formation for ease in their own writing and for reading. I find materials such as this, with letter formation which does not follow the proper letter formation conventions, are difficult for students to read and they do not provide a good model for their own printing. I also downloaded the Personal short Vowel Reading pack. I love this. I love the printing. Why don't you use this printing for all of your work the students read? Thanks your time.

Hi Maisha,
I do use a variety of fonts for my products. I choose different fonts for different products because readers see a variety of font in different texts. I typically use the font that looks similar to Zaner Blosser for products that I create for my struggling readers. However, I receive emails on a regular basis requesting materials with D'Nealian fonts. So, I guess everyone has different preferences. Thank you for making purchases from my store!

Blogger is the best way to set up a blog. I am a Mac user and use Pages, but most teachers use Publisher.

Hi Kim,

I am brand new to this site and what luck to have found your material - you are so creative! I just purchased the end of the year packet (and left positive feedback for you). My question is - some of the clipart is a little blurry and I checked to make sure I have the latest Adobe software and everything checks out. Can you only send the document in a PDF file? I apologize if that's something I should know - again I'm brand new and your packet is exactly what I need for our first graders.

Sincerely,
Cathey

Hi Cathey,
Thank you for your purchase and the positive feedback. Unfortunately, because of the license agreements for the clipart, I can only sell it as in the PDF format. If you send me your email address, I will email you the PDF to see if it downloads more clearly for you.

Hi KIm, I teach second grade and I am very interested in your Informational text features product. Kids love informational text, but are having trouble with all the features. Our second grade teachers have made this a goal to work on. I love your blog and all your hard work is greatly appreciated!!!! Kim Montavon

Hi Kim,
Thanks for following my blog! I am working on the last few pages of the informational text packet. The teachers at my school have the same problem with all those features. I'm hoping the packet will be ready to post by the end of the weekend. Kimberly

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My experience includes teaching in the classroom, working as a literacy intervention specialist and as a speech-language pathologist. I have taught Young 5's (pre-K), Kindergarten and 1st grade. I've also worked with at risk readers in grades K - 2. In addition to working in an elementary school setting, I have taught classes at the university level as well.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Teaching should be fun for the learner and the teacher! My classroom is organized, structured and full of movement. I believe that each of my students can succeed. It's my job to help them have the most successful school experience possible. I am lucky to have a "job" that I love!
