Eight years of classroom experiences have guided me into the world of Kindergarten. I have previously taught in First and Second Grade classrooms, but after 5 years as a Kindergarten teacher, I can say with pride that this is the grade which fills my heart with joy and a passion for teaching.
I strive to create a warm and compassionate learning environment for my young students. Routine, bright colors, and organization are important to me because I believe it helps children feel more safe and secure in their school environment. I also like to have fun in the classroom with my children and make the learning experience as hands-on and dynamic as possible. I am very passionate about incorporating technology into classroom instruction and have successfully lobbied to obtain a personal laptop, digital camera, wireless internet access, digital projector, ELMO, and a set of mp3 players for teaching purposes in my classroom. My current ambition for implementing technology: obtaining a set of iPads for my classroom!

I teach half-day Kindergarten at a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Detroit. Since I spend more time in my classroom than any other location, I make every effort to make it a warm, happy place and I am so blessed to teach at a wonderful and supportive school. I consider myself a polka-dot enthusiast. I also love all things tidy and organized, bright colors, natural lighting, indie music, new gadgets, NPR, and glitter.
