When they are at word work I see they have a few choices for them to rotate through each day-they have a word bank-can you tell me more about this? It looks like they use this word bank for all the activites at this area for the week, right? So they use the stampers, play doh etc. to make these words.
I also see at the reading center they have letter detective-can you tell me more about this?
What things are they able to do on the computers?
Could you give an example of what you do w/ a group at your center for 15 minutes?

Our main measuring skill is comparing the length of two different items, so it'd be really nice to have an answer sheet for that to go with your current measuring cards (color the picture the color of the one that's longer or shorter). I have quick question. I saw on February 20th that you had commented on making the Mayday Mayday unit, and I am wondering if you just add a unit at a time. I know I am supposed to post a question here, but I just really wanted to take a minute to thank you. I happened upon your products while browsing TPT. Your Reading Streets units have been such a blessing to me. This is my seventh year teaching, but I am new to kindergarten this year. I am also a new mom, with a husband who works at night. Needless to say, it is hard to find the time to gather/create resources for my class. Oh wow-what compliments! I started making these units for me and my mom (she teaches K right beside me) and she suggested that they were "good enough to sell" so I thought if I sold a few then that would pay for the clipart (and then I could purchase "cute" clipart). I have several teachers that have bought them all - every week! I have 11 year old triplets and having these units written and ready to go has saved us from having to spend a lot of time after school. I am able to plan for 2 weeks at a time and I don't have to search for materials because they are all in the units. I am so glad that you are happy with them. I am worried about Units 5 and 6, but I think I have got some great themes in mind! Have a great week!

This unit really goes along with the literature story Bear Snores On. Any activities that are used with informational texts are about brown bears. Those would be KWL charts and tree maps. The centers have graphics of the animals in the Bear Snores On story.

I just bought the goldilocks math unit and the bears standing on the block with a number is missing the 3 and the 6. Went to do the activity with my kids and didn't have those two numbers. I have looked through the packet again and can't find those 2 numbers. There are 2 8's though. If you could please correct this as soon as possible so I can use this activity that would be great. Otherwise I would like a refund. I teach special education preschool and this is one of the main activities I would be able to use in my classroom. Thanks.

The bubble map on page 6 would be used for drawing pictures/labeling events in the story (things the bunnies did during the day). You can do this whole group (we do-on the document camera) or for the students to do independently (you do). The writing paper could be used instead of the bubble map, after the class bubble map or as differentiation for students who can write sentences, or as a follow-up to the bubble map (writing process). I try to think of how I would organize the lesson and then how to differentiate the lesson, or space the same concept over a few days (bubble map one day, writing sheet the next). Does this make sense? I can re-make anything if I need to. I have not taught this unit yet, so if it is still confusing let me know. Sorry this got so long....Jen
Updated-just re-read and the realism/fantasy are just pieces to use as a T-chart or in a pocket chart. You can discuss things that real bunnies do and what the bunnies did in the story. I just put the cards under the correct heading (we do) then the writing as the follow-up (you do).

Hi there! I will start including the letters and pictures I use in the product description. When I write these units I use the reading street pacing and some weeks the letters are the same, so that is why the spinners are the same. I have new clip art and it will be different every week, but some weeks will have the same pictures because there are only so many CVC pictures I can find. Thank you so much!

I am not sure why it is not downloading for you. I downloaded it and was able to open it on my desktop just fine. Try it again, then contact TpT and ask them why it will not download for you. Sorry I could not be any more help.

I love this and already printed and laminated and am ready to go! I have a question- since I have never played this game. I have 19 kids in my class- does each student get 2 cards? Do I keep them in the order they are displayed? Or can each child just take a red and green card? I know its probably obvious- but I cannot figure it out! Thanks!

I am in the same situation. I think I will just give out two cards to certain students (the ones that go first- a, b, c, etc.) and then take some myself. I think you need to use all of them because if you skip one then it messes everyone up. I hope this helps!
