I used this with my 5th grade students... they were a bit confused by what they needed to do, because it looks a bit intimidating at first. We had 15 minutes the first day, and they were unable to complete it because they were quite confused. I recommend reviewing how a family tree works and identifying everyone as a class before letting students try this on their own.

Yes! You can tell the students to create a "character!" :) They could pretend to be a famous person, for example. And then they can decide what he looks like, his hobbies, his personality, etc. A lot of my students prefer to make up a character.

I asked a friend of mine here on TpT in the meantime. She said that it is possible that because sales have been busy with the Cyber Monday Sale that the packet may have had trouble downloading to your computer due to the high traffic on the site. She also said that sometimes if you click on the packet too soon when downloading there can be pages that aren't fully downloaded correctly.
Her suggestion was to download the packet again and make sure to wait for the download to be complete (in case this was the original problem) and then open the packet and try again.
You can download all products again that you have already purchased! (A great feature as many of us like to improve our products occasionally and you don't have to buy the product again to get the newest version!)
Let me know if it works! And I'll let you know what the tech team says when they get back to me!

Spanish Teachers Like Me (TpT Seller) re: Connect The Dots while practicing Alphabet and Numbers!
Good morning,
There are a few problems with the dot-to-dot. First, p. 10, the rabbit... there are two '22's. You go to the 22 towards the bottom first, and then to the 22 that is in the middle later on. Also, there is a dot for the 'P' but the 'P' isn't on the dot-to-dot. It is on the key though.
Second, p. 13, the dragonfly. The second line of the clues, there are two mistakes. The 'F' should be an 'E', and the 'O' should be an '8'. Please fix! :(

Oh wow, that is great! I created a notebook of the different reflexives, with the verb, the picture, the present tense conjugations and the preterite tense conjugations. I added a couple to yours, calmarse and ponerse. I think I might post a PPT of it but I need to make it pretty first. :)

I actually found all of the clip art for this packet in the search box for "clip art" in Microsoft Word! :) It's not very often that I can actually find all of the clip art for a packet in the program I'm using to create it.

Is it possible to get a blackline master of the reflexive verbs packet or do the sheets copy well? I'm using this with my level 2's, and I have 160 kids. These sheets are WONDERFUL, I'm excited to use them, but I can't print them in color for each of them. :)

Uh, I downloaded Hoy Aprendi, but it came as 11 blank pages and said I had a "drawing error" -- whatever that is. I haven't seen that before, and I was surprised that it was buggy, as I've never had trouble with PDFs before.

I downloaded this item today and my students caught a couple spelling errors. Arándano is mis-spelled in two locations: the list at the bottom of the page & in the 3rd column. On the key, in the 7th column, el puré de patatas is used twice. Once you correct these, could you please send me the new edition as I do not have the capability of editing PDFs. Thanks!

When I'm typing in both English and Spanish in the same document, Word will automatically "correct" things (I don't know what the heck an "arandino" is in English...? But it changed it automatically) that shouldn't be changed. :) Thank you for catching the ones I missed! It's fixed now!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching high school and middle school Spanish for 8 years. I also teach online Spanish classes in my "spare time" (Spare time?? Haha!). Concordia Language Villages was the wonderful place I got my start in immersion education as a counselor and art director for their Spanish Language Villages. (www.concordialanguagevillages.org)
MY TEACHING STYLE
Hands on, interactive, natural, immersion. My profile picture is of me when I dressed as Frida Kahlo to present an art/Spanish/history lesson for my friend's classes. I like to teach this lesson every-other-year for my own students (The year when I don't teach this lesson gives enough of a break that when I teach the lesson again, the students are excited to see me dressed up!). This is a great example of my teaching style.

I recently completed the pilgrimage of El Camino de Santiago de Compostela (an 800km walk that takes the traveler across the width of the entire Iberian Peninsula).
