I was looking through different Writing products and found one that I wanted, however, when it said to click through for a free look at the materials, somehow I ended up with the wrong product. They are both products that you offer. I wanted the Writing with the Language Connections and accidentally purchased the Writing Standards. Since they were both by you and both $8, I didn't realize I was on the wrong one until I downloaded it. Is it possible for me to exchange the one I got for the one I want?

The home page is just that, the TPT home page. If you scroll down you will see different stores which are featured. The stores are rotated constantly so that anyone selling on TPT gets an opportunity to be seen. I've only seen mine once as the visit must coordinate with when your store is featured.
As for the copyright, I can't remember if your products all had that or not. I generally mention this fact to all newbiew since this is an important item that is often omitted.

I saw your store on the home page of Teachers Pay Teachers; so, I thought I would look at your freebies. Here are a few suggestions that might help you to better market your products.
Add some clipart to add color or just color some of your font to each resoruce. For some reason buyers like color on the original even though they may copy your product in black and white. Also, create a cover page for each of your products which can then be used as an attractive thumbnail to entice buyers even if that resource is only one page long. You are competing with over 29,000 sellers so you want your products to stand out. You might also add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page for the teacher. (How do? How? Etc.) List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product.
Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page. Here is how you do that. Use the insert and go to the right. You should see symbols there. Insert the copyright symbol, your name and date. It should look something like this: © V. Rauch (Scipi), 2011 Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also number your pages.
Finally, make sure yor freebies represent the quality of products in your store. If the freebie isn't something a teacher can use or isn't unique or top notch, buyers will just move on to a different store. The primary grades have so-o-o-o many stores that you want to make sure your free item will catch the buyer's eye.

Did you find any particular product that did not have the copyright on each page? I always try to do that, and did not mean to skip any pages or products. If you found one, I'd appreciate knowing which one it is. Also, I have started to work on making nicer cover pages. Unfortunately, I haven't even been able to sell one the one resource I have with a nice cover page. I'm sure it takes patience, and I do thank you for your tips. Sure, thank you for asking Wendy. The Writers Workshop Curriculum Guide can stand alone as a year-long resource for teaching writers workshop. It gives you mini lesson ideas in an outline format for the year, broken down into units. The Daily Lesson PLanning Guide for K-1 CCSS Writing Printable Collection will only be helpful for you if you purchase my Common Core printable collections, that you can find broken down for standards 1-3, 5-6, and 7-8. Or, the full set of all of those standards (plus the daily lesson planning guide) is also available in my store. I hope this explains the difference. "text types and purposes.") After I finish the final two, my plan is to put together a year-long curriculum guide to incorporate everything I've put together. (not following Calkins.) Hello, Unfortunately I made this guide before the Common Core came out. I have not yet made a year-long writing curriculum tied to the Common Core. However, it is my plan to work towards that. Are you looking to tie the Core Curriculum to the Calkins style of writers' workshop? Or, are you simply looking for a year-long curriculum guide that covers all of the writing Core Standards? If you happened to notice my other self-made product, it was developed from the first 3 Core standards. My plan is to continue developing materials like this to meet all of the K-1 writing standards, and then tie them all together for a year-long curriculum. Thank you for asking.
