Great idea for Ks or Gr. 1s! And thank you for putting the words in CAPITALS! I like the letters/words to look like what the students will be looking for on the keyboard! The Ks still have a hard time finding letters if they are not in upper case!

write with markers all day, take bubbles to recess, lunch with the teacher, take chalk to recess, dibs on the computer all day (like when they get done with their work), take a ball to recess, take a hula hoop to recess, listen to a book on tape, visit another classroom, choose your own carpet spot, show off a talent to the class, go to recess with another class, free choice when work is done, pick a free book from the book basket, sit in the bean bag chair all day, bring an item to show and tell, read a book to the class or a different class, eat lunch with a friend, wear your socks in the classroom, bring a fluffy friend to school, use smelly markers to color, be teacher for the day, walk out of line for the day, put up 2 extra seeds (my classroom), 2 extra penny drops (my class), wear a hat to school, and take a trip to the treasure box.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I was a stay at home mom with our first 3 sons. In that time I volunteered in the classroom as much as I could. That is what sparked my desire to go back to school to be a teacher. I started teaching Pre-K for a year. Then after graduating, I subbed in all grades for about 6 months. That confirmed my dreams of being a kindergarten teacher as none of the other grades excited me the way kindergarten did. I was lucky enough to snag a kindergarten job from the get-go and am now about to start my 8th year of teaching those cute kinders!
MY TEACHING STYLE
My style? Hands on, fun, exciting. These are 5 year olds! I can teach the standards and still make sure they have an amazing kindergarten year. I strive to make everything we do completely engaging and exciting. I never want to hear the word "boring" in my classroom. I think I would cry!

I grew up in Wisconsin. Met my husband, had 3 children and then decided I couldn't take the long cold winter any longer. So we packed up the family and moved to Georgia. We have now been married 15 years and are blessed with 5 amazing children; 4 boys and 1 princess! I am so happy that I get to do something I love each and every day and that same career allows me to spend weeks home with my children in the summer:)
