When I found this I thought it looked too difficult for my second graders. Boy have they stepped up to the challenge. The group that is reading this book currently actually come to the reading table with college dictionaries in hand. It's so fun to watch them use the guide words to find the right page for each vocabulary word. I would definitely not use this for every second grader but it is a great book and this pack really makes them stop and think.
