My frustration with this was how the items were scanned for the pdf part. Some were crooked and off the page and had handwritten notes on them. The powerpoint is good and it gave me ideas to develop my own lapbook.

As it says in the description - you never have to open the teacher manual- because it is all in my PowerPoint. As a teacher I have to follow the manual- I did add more graphics to make more interesting for the students. My students love it- a lot better than me just talking and nothing to look at.

While I appreciate the PowerPoint, I'm extremely disappointed in the rest of this unit. I have been doing My Father's Dragon for years using a lapbook I got for free from Homeschool Share.com. This is exactly what you have available for $8. Eighteen pages are also the story itself reduced on pages which was of no use to me. There was nothing available to see of the lapbook before the purchase, so I purchased blindly. I did not get my money's worth. Sorry.

I am sorry you feel that way. I believe I described what was included in detail and if you downloaded the preview you would have seen the PowerPoint, which by itself was worth the money.
I told you the story was included, not sure what you meant by "reduced and no use to you". I used what I have been using for years for the lap book.
I explained the items that were in lap book on the slides- so if you were familiar with the story then you could understand what the activities were.
I have boughten stuff here as well and felt disappointed but I would never leave negative feedback for a person who has put a lot of time and effort into creating something.

The PowerPoint has a section for each chapter of the book.
So each chapter follows this format.
Slide 1 introduces the chapter
Slide 2 introduces 5 vocabulary words and their definitions (I have students make a file folder lapbook and on binder paper I have then write all definitions.
Also have page numbers and assigns the chapter to read
Slide 3 has comprehension quiz (answers will fly in) - I give them 10-15 min to answer then fly in the answers to correct it (5 questions)
Slide 4 has vocabulary quiz (a and b only-5 questions) same thing- give them 10 minutes to answers them correct it by "flying" on the answers.
Slides 5 has vocabulary activity for lapbook
Slide 6 has fun activity to go along with story- they complete it and glue in file folder lapbook

When u open up PowerPoint you go to slideshow at the top, then click play slideshow. From there u push enter to scroll through the PowerPoint. My students love this book- they are still learning vocabulary and doing comprehension but also love doing the fun activities that go among with it. I downloaded your Flat Stanley unit. I'm frustrated with the images because some of them seem scanned incorrectly so that they aren't all on the page and they have handwritten notes on them. Also, on the powerpoint, which I love, all of the answers are highlighted on the quizzes so it seems not worth it. Is there any way to fix those problems? Thank you.

I have opened it up and the pictures seem okay. If you like, you can send me your email address and I can email them, maybe with the download something happened?? No one else has complained of this problem - so might be a glitch.

When u open the PowerPoint at the top it says "slideshow", click that, then click " from beginning" if u want to start at the first slide or you can scroll thru PowerPoint first to a certain day then click "slideshow" then u would click "from current slide".

Hello- you have to play the slideshow in the powerpoint, then everything flys in. (When you hit the arrow keys or enter button it goes through the PowerPoint). Have you bought the previous theme?
I recommend printing the slides (6 to a page) then you have the answers in front of you- plus you know what is coming up next in the slideshow.
