This book was great to wrap our mini-unit on Columbus. The kids had a lot of fun coloring it and filling in the answers as a class. My first grade teammates loved it too! We just wished that the pages were numbered...the kids had some difficulty putting the book together in one class so in the other classes we put it together for them.

I just wanted to let you know that there is an error on the last page/slide. When you are giving the meanings of the symbols on the back of the dime you list the meaning of the olive branches as "peach" instead of peace. I don't mean to be a jerk but I know I would want someone to tell me. I wish you the best of luck. I can't wait to browse around your other items!

I saw your store on the home page of Teachers Pay Teachers; so, I thought I would look at your freebie. I left you a rating. Well done! Since you do not have many products yet, here are a few suggestions that might help you to better market your products.
Make sure evry product has a colorful cover page, even iif it is only one page in length. You might add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page for the teacher. (How do use these? Are they a center activity? Etc.) List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product. Also number your pages.
Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. Here is how you do that. Use the insert and go to the right. You should see symbols there. Insert the copyright symbol, your name and date. It should look something like this: © V. Rauch (Scipi), 2011 You have to protect all of your creations. Finally, unless you want your products revised (I do for my tests) save everything in a PDF format as it is harder to change.
It is important that we see what others are doing; so, feel free to look at any or all of my freebies listed below to gather some ideas. If you care to, a rating or any feedback you might have would be great.

I have taught MS Special Education (Resource Room/Consultant Teacher) for 2 1/2 years and have now been in a 1st/2nd grades multiage for 1 year!

I have a Bachelor Degree in Psychology with Certifications in 1-6 Regular Education, 1-6 Special Education, 5-9 Regular Education and 5-9 Special Education. I also have a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction.
ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
I was married to my wonderful husband on July 14, 2011. Shortly after, we moved to the Caribbean island of St. Kitts while he attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. I was very lucky to get my teaching job here and we are learning a lot of about life while living here!
