I have this unit of yours. I printed out the word search, but the valentine words are not on the word search. They seem to be winter words. My students had a hard time finding the words and I finally took a good look at it. Can you please send a corrected word search? a, am, and, are, at, be, big, can, come, did, do, down, for, get, give, go, good, has, have, he, help, here, I, in, is, it, like, little, look, me, my, no, not, of, on, one, out, play, run, said, see, she, that, the, there, they, this, to, two, up, want, was, we, what, where, who, will, with, yes, you. You can use just some if your students aren't ready for all of these. I would copy a limited list twice if you want to do that. Also, there is a white box that has each word in it, so it would be very easy to white out and add your own words or print and glue your words on top. You would have to edit the document from PPT, but it is edible exactly the same way Word is editable. Copy/paste the October slide into a new PPT and save it as a PDF. This way, parents open it similar to how a Word document is opened. :) Let me know if this helped!

They are the size of a regular piece of paper turned sideways. You can use them like that and back them with construction paper. If you would like them to be bigger, there are two things you can do. You can enlarge and print on two separate pages then tape together. One other thing is to use a poster maker to enlarge them if you need. :)

As far as long a goes, I usually have them compare words with short a and long a in a t-chart format. Then, I have had them circle the "magic e" that is on the end of words with the long a to remind them this is why the letter says its own name. One game I would play (and the students loved it) was "long vowel, stand up...short vowel, sit down". I would say words with either a short or long vowel sound and they would stand or sit accordingly. They LOVED this! I would speed up at the end and there would always be giggles. I have more ideas and plenty of time so let me know if you need more! :)

Actually, there is already a preview on there for you to download. It is near the price of the product. That will show you the cards that will be on the answer. The answer card would be...20 at the top and under it would be 20 represented by tally marks, dice, addition problems, etc. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Thanks! :)

Sure! Did you want to be able to "Edit" the project to type in their names and change the titles of the jobs? I can do that and resend you the product. If you mean how I change the jobs, I simply laminate the job cards and use a permanent marker to write their names. This will come off with nail polish remover. Another way I have done it is to laminate the cards, add a piece of velcro, and use cards with student names on them. I switch them out every week this way. I hope this helps! Which product are you referring to? If it is the sub plans, there are one or two worksheets but it is designed with activities to use with notebook paper and not worksheets. This way, they can be used with any grade level- you simply add in the titles/pg. numbers of your books and the activities correspond with ANY books that you use at ANY grade level!
