I'm so glad you like it!! We practice whole group first using our clickers! I have also put these Ppt's on my student stations and they practice these for a center while I pull small groups! Another center is working independently on the printed version of this PowerPoint!
There are many other PowerPoints as well to choose from! Some of the review ppt's have a picture with 3 words to choose from. My kids really like those!

De nada! I use these a lot. I have them up on my wall, but also in a mini binder with sleeves. The kids use these during centers to write words that begin with the letter of the week. I have 3 of them so I can have one per two students at a center. :-)

I like these worksheets and they are great to send as homework. The only downside is that sometimes the words are words that the students don't use regularly, so they have to depend on adult help at times.

Thank you! Usually before I send homework home (if I know they may have a hard time with the vocab) we will practice for 5 min as a whole class repeating the vocabulary, making it fun with loud and quiet voices just to make it more engaging. Thank you for your input! I do appreciate it!!

You need to download the Mimio software. Our district has a license for it. At one time it was free, but not sure if they have changed their fees. My goal is to create these activities using The Smart software (Smart boards). The Mimio pads turn your white board into interactive boards. We then put our games on the student stations and the children use a mouse. Let me know if this helps. I believe the website is www.mimio.com. Look for software or downloads. If this doesn't work, let me know and I can email the document. I will also check my end. My email is lbodeen@charter.net.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
1997: I have my BA in Education 1997: Minors in Reading & English as a 2nd Language 2000: Masters in teaching reading to Kinder and 1st grade Students. I started teaching Kindergarten in 1998. I taught my first two years in a sheltered English only classroom and Spanish ever since! My entire teaching career has been in Kindergarten! The school I teach at now has gone from the Early Exit model, to DUAL Language 2 way 90/10, back to Late Exit for our Spanish kiddos and now to Early exit. One day I hope to teach preschool and loop up to Kinder if it ever becomes an option.

2010: I applied and received the TL21 (Teaching & Learning in the 21st century) $10,000 teaching Grant through WA State OSPI for my kindergarten classroom to integrate technology. In my classroom we use independent student stations where we use the MIMIO activities I have created here as well as the PowerPoints. I was able to purchase: 1. Turning Technology Response systems or (Clickers- as my children call them). 2. Hot Dots Pens and stickers 3. Mimio Pad 4. New Document Camera 5. Camera & Video Camera

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
I am married with 2 children. I teach kindergarten full time in an all Spanish Speaking classroom. I teach in an Early Exit school, but my classroom receives 90% of instruction in Spanish. I was just recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, but it has only slowed me down, not deterred me. I am only more determined to beat this! :-) I love teaching and being a wife and mother. I am also a twin to another kindergarten teacher who teaches in the same district. We are often confused for one another. LOL!
