I have a project I'm creating that I hope to post soon that will have students select a product (ex. a cup of coffee from a local store) and research how all of the parts (ex. coffee beans, the paper / styrofoam cup, the plastic top) were grown/produced, distributed (sold, moved, etc.) and eventually consumed. Used in conjuction with the chart, I think it will provide students a way to actually see how an "economy" works to meet the needs of the people.

Hi, I don't even know what examview is, is this still for me? I review the regents exams on a eight students to one teacher ratio in the resource room. I had done similar things to this in the past but it has been a long time. Do you recommend this for me? ANything else also? I know about regentsprep.org already.

Thanks for contacting me. If you have textbooks from Prentice Hall, ExamView is the free test software that comes with the textbook, and I highly recommend it. The software is fairly easy to use and allows you to insert/delete, move, and create just about any type of question you'd like to a test or a question bank.
This Examview Bank is a bank of questions that I created using New York State Regents Exam questions for Global History. Every question compares civilizations before 1800. For example, when a question asks how Hammurabi's Code (Ancient Fertile Crescent), the Laws of the Twelve Tables (Rome), and Justinian's Code (Byzantine Empire) are similar, I included it in this question bank.
However, if you don't use Examview and are not interested in using it or don't have access to it, this Examview question bank is NOT for you. However, from the description of your job as a 1-8 resource room teacher, this would probably be VERY useful for your students.
I will post the question bank in a Microsoft Word or PDF format if you are interested. Just reply to this message if you are and I can direct you to it if you can't find it.
